Seattle Artist Angelina "179" Villalobos Soto to Celebrate Seahawks Latino Heritage Collection with Live Pop-Up at Populus Seattle
Free signed prints, exclusive merch, and a live mural reveal mark First Thursday Art Walk in Pioneer Square
SEATTLE, WA — Seattle-born muralist and designer Angelina "179" Villalobos Soto will celebrate the launch of the Seattle Seahawks' 2026 Latino Heritage Collection with a public pop-up event on Thursday, October 1, during Pioneer Square's First Thursday Art Walk. The event will take place at Populus Seattle, in the RailSpur District at 100 S. King Street.

The collection's centerpiece design, Campeones del Sol (Champions of the Sun), reimagines the Mexican flag through a Pacific Northwest lens — trading the traditional eagle for a Seahawks-inspired osprey, the serpent for a salmon, and framing a football player rendered in Indigenous Mexican–inspired style beneath a golden sun. The piece appears across the Seahawks Pro Shop collection, including a hoodie, tee, and pin.
As part of the pop-up, Villalobos Soto will unveil a new 10-by-10-foot mural in the RailSpur alley, live-painted especially for the occasion. Attendees can shop the Latino Heritage Collection in person, receive a free signed print while supplies last, and meet the artist behind the design.
““Campeones del Sol is a reflection of who I am: a Mexican American Seattleite whose family stretches from San Antonio to Guerrero to right here at home,” said Villalobos Soto. “I want people to see that you can be all of it at once — immigrant, migrant, first gen, proud Seahawks fan — and wear that pride without apology.
